It's almost October, time to get ready for Halloween, if you want to hold a huge event.

As I am not from America, and we never had any Halloween in Germany, I was no fan of holding any parties or Halloween lessons, in the beginning of my teaching career.

But one day a 3rd grade girl, whose family had built a beautiful new house in our neighborhood, asked me to please come Trick or Treating with everyone.  She was so proud of her house.

I couldn't refuse, so I planned my first mini party, with about 15 students, some food, games and 2 houses of Trick or Treat.

It's been about 8 years since, and meanwhile it is a huge event of more than 70 kids between 3 and 14, and about 20-30 adults.
A huge part of my neighborhood is involved in Trick or Treating~ and the long row we are making when walking through town is pretty impressive.

You can see pictures and read in Japanese about last year's event: HERE

And here is last year's Halloween video.

Well, to be honest, every year of planning is exciting and a bit scary, too.
This year especially, because last year was just amazing and perfect!

So, I do not want to change too much, as it was so good.
On the other hand I cannot leave it just as last year, as then there will for sure be disappointments.

I've thought back and forth for a couple of weeks now about games and decoration, and FINALLY, I think I've come to a great conclusion and some really fun minor changes.

What is everyone else doing for Halloween?
