July The month of my students being on stage and performing. This year we did 'Hansel and Gretel' with an original script I wrote, and for the first time I linked this day into a teacher training. Thank you Junko, Haruka, Mari, Aya, Lindsay and Angela to come from as far as Shiga, Osaka, Mie and Ibaraki Prefecture to join. August Vacation month, and the hottest month in Japan~we took a little little break. I was sooooo happy and excited that we finally made it and held our first real 'Mystery Skype'. Thanks again, Emmanuelle and also Julie~ We got connected to New Caledonia and to Souther Australia. And both sessions were very exciting experiences. We also had a summer party, with everyone dressed up in Japanese Summer wear, and lots of delicious food. September Now I can talk about, what I needed to be quiet about then, and what happened to be the reason for my silence on English and Japanese blog: We got to know that my husband would be transferred to Germany from end of November. Though Germany is my home country, there was no doubt for me that I would stay in Japan. In fact the timing for this shift in life happens to be rather perfect. However it is a weird shift with my japanese man almost in my hometown (1 hour away) and the german myself in Japan. So, there were some ups and downs thinking about this and getting my mind sorted. October Second launch of my Online Teaching Master Course, again with some new amazing teachers registering. All in all there were 40 participants in this one course now, and I love the atmosphere and excitement of everyone in there to learn and improve. In my own classroom, of course it was all about Halloween. Gorgeous. November I decided to give it my all and share even more with everyone willing to learn with the offer of one-on-one coaching calls. I am a bit surprised myself at how amazing these work and how focused and detailed we can literally build up and create whatever you are looking for, building up a new school, holding shows (from program, via script to the final stage), holding other events, talking to parents, etc etc~or even for those who are teaching in public school. I am still full right now, but soon I will have a few slots open again and might decide to give a special offer, so if you are interested do come back here in the next couple of weeks. Well, and finally December This year we had a very early Christmas event, very happy and nice. And now, I am in Germany, decorating my husband's flat and getting accustomed to -what we decided to call- our second home. I have the feeling next year a lot of exciting things are waiting again. Thank you all for everything this year. Let's keep sharing, learning , connecting . Have a wonderful 2018!

Time to look back on all the achievements of a full year. First of all: I am very grateful for all your support, your comments, questions. So, before I start a big THANK YOU! Throughout the year, I have been more on Facebook than here, because most teachers from outside Japan, seem to be around there more regularly.
My Japanese Blog is still regular, and I do try to keep things up here, as well. Of course if you comment here or have questions or requests I am happy to do so HERE! OK, now let's see~ 2017 January: Diving into my take outs from "Ditch that summit 2016" we made a book with Google slides and did our first Break Out Activity. February was the last month teaching in Public Elementary School in Japan, after 10 years. Getting ready to go and preparing for some great events in March, I didn't write anything this month. March Again inspired by 'Ditch that Textbook summit', we had several Skype Virtual Field Trips: Portugal and the States, and we learned a lot about animals. April Starting to be active on my Facebook Page. I committed to a 30 Day Challenge. 30 Days in a row I recorded a mini lesson video, "歌で英語" English through songs. Meanwhile there is loads of valuable stuff on there, so please go there and if you do so, I know you are going to like it so please push the 'like' button. May Wow~Here is where the roller coaster started spinning without end! I decided to open my first Online course, a Master Training Course for teachers. Richard Graham invited me to do a live chat, which had over 2000 views within 2 hours. June As this course was getting such great feed back and requests for more, I started experimenting with another Facebook Challenge: "Phonics Challenge" (21 days, one sound each day). And, opened another Online course, which is running for ONE !!!Year. Again, teachers and parents on here are very happy~Thanks to Richard for encouraging me to do all this. Another thing being a 'first to have' was the start of a series of Mommy and me classes. So sweet. Now, let me leave the last 6 month for tomorrow. |
